Agra was the capital of the Mughal Empire for more than a century and is today one of the most visited cities in India due to the splendor of Muslim buildings built at that time. The Taj Mahal, mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his wife (Muntazer Mahal, who died in 1630 while giving birth to her 14th child), is among the most beautiful buildings in the world.
After all, Agra has so much pollution that acid rain is ruining the marble of its greatest attraction. Most tourists visit the city during one day. But the Taj Mahal and the other (few) the city's attractions are worth visiting, and there are good hotels and restaurants.
WHY GO?
Visit the Taj Mahal. Or was not this one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.

Agra is located in the extreme west of the state of Rajasthan, midway between Jaipur and Varanasi. The Taj Mahal is a bit away from the center, along the river. In the center has several temples and some markets. The area the hotel is close to the Taj Mahal.
WHEN TO GO
Agra's climate is tropical, with rainy summers and dry winters.
The summer rainy season is the only city, all the other stations are dry. In late summer there is a marked reduction in the volume of precipitation, unlike the tropical regions of South and Central America, where rainfall decreases slowly.
The climate is a key to go to India. There are three dominant seasons: hot, rainy and mild. It is recommended to avoid the warm season (April, May and June), when temperatures reach 45 º C. The mountains are among the destinations at this time. The month of October is the period when the country receives the highest number of tourists. From November to March begins the season of weddings, which fill the streets of rituals. If you can, book your trip for that period, you will not regret.
